About

I am a third generation attorney at The Law Offices of Mauger & Meter in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.  In addition to our firm’s focus on Estate Planning and Administration, Real Estate, Land Use, and Family Law, I assist musicians, authors, artists, and small businesses with contract drafting and review services, compliance guidance, and general representation for all of their professional needs.

I work efficiently for my clients to preserve their rights, protect them from potential liabilities, and help them avoid the costs and headaches of unnecessary litigation.

Professional Background

I graduated from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law, where I served as the President of the Federalist Society, and the Director of Recruitment and Alumni Relationships for the Villanova Moot Court Board.  As a competitor on the Villanova Moot Court Board, I earned Quarterfinalist, Semifinalist, and First Place finishes in various competitions across the country, including at UNC Chapel Hill, and UNLV in Las Vegas.

While at Villanova, I focused heavily on Immigration matters as a Certified Legal Intern with the Villanova Clinic for Asylum Refugee and Emigrant Services (CARES Clinic) for over two semesters.  With CARES, I worked on over a dozen cases, and played a role in several successful asylum hearings.  After CARES, I clerked for the Department of Homeland Security at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Office of Chief Counsel in Philadelphia.

Prior to law school, I worked in business development for the Scott Auto Group, and in public relations in the Philadelphia music scene, coordinating with and creating content for artists, publications, PR companies, and local venues.  You can still see some of my photography here.

Personal

I am a proud resident of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where I live with my wife, Jessica, and rescue dog, Macklin.  I am active in my community and committed to improving the overall health and economy of the Borough.  I am a Commissioner on the Borough’s Human Relations Commission, and I use this website to, among other things, inform area residents on the actions of the Borough and its various Commissions, Authorities, and other entities.

I blog here about legal issues that are in the news and that might be of relevance and interest to my clients.  I am also active on Twitter, where I tweet about the law, music, and Flyers hockey.
